The Challenge
The client needed a safer, scalable way to train operators on basic scissor lift movement and navigation in tight spaces—without risking damage to real equipment or infrastructure. Traditional training methods lacked realism, offered no standardized evaluation, and didn’t replicate the feel of actual controls. To meet operational safety goals, they sought a VR-based simulator that delivered accurate movement dynamics, controller-based operation, and real-world physics feedback.
We delivered a zero-risk VR simulator with real-world physics—designed for hands-on lift control and safe Scissor Lift operation training.
We developed a VR Scissor Lift Training Simulator that mirrors the physical control panel of a real scissor lift. Trainees use a mapped controller to learn how to move forward, steer, elevate, and lower the lift—just as they would on an actual machine.
After mastering the basics, users navigate through a congested virtual environment, where precision and spatial awareness are key. The simulator realistically replicates lift physics such as sway, inertia, and turning radius, helping users build both confidence and control. The experience concludes with a performance evaluation, where trainees are scored on their ability to complete tasks without collisions or procedural errors.
